Vain as snow
Had found myself advancing in drawing TLK male lion anatomy and so I had doodled my snow white vain lion character Bayana who was the product of making a good character out of a cliché color combination. As I painted him his non existent story began to unfold before me. Painting is a great way to relax and also apparently to think on character backstories.

Game of Tag
This little project I've been working off and on for about a week. Each figure took approx. 5 to 6 hours to paint without interruptions. The background, little under an hour with the right brushes in photoshop using the mixer brush.

This image originally was meant to have a hideous Fan Character of mine involved but it looks much better without the neon character. This was still very much fun to create once I found the right brushes to color the background. Scar was a might difficult but still a fun challenge.

I've been practicing my lion king anatomy recently. I feel confident in it enough now. This was a random outlander cub practice sketch. Programs I use are Manga Studio 5, Frenden.com brushes for Manga Studio 5 and an intuous5 tablet.

This time instead of using Manga Studio 5 to paint this, I used Photoshop CS5. I quite like the outcome on my little character Riba.

By the end of the third day of painting this fellow, I was growing tired of it which is something that doesn't usually happen with me when I paint traced bases.

This was a leisure paint, as well as an experiment to see just how close I could come to this style. The original was a traced base on deviantART that I took to extreme measures to make it look as if it was made by Disney.
This is probably one of my favorites I have painted thus far.
After a long thought process, I've decided to completely revamp this blog/portfolio. So for the first entry, a commission I finished for a friend of their fan design for a deleted character from Disney's The Lion King.
I've lately been enamored with this style Disney does for their merchandise clipart and have taken to studying it.
